Theaters that have been closed for nearly six months due to the corona virus epidemic in China are now opening.

In the year 2019, China earned 64 billion Chinese yuan (about 684 billion rupees) from the theatrical ticket sales.

The National Film Administration of China has estimated that China will lose about 30 billion Chinese yuan in revenue from the sale of movie tickets in comparison to 2019. That is, the income from the box office will remain half.
