Aryana Sabalenka of Belarus has won the Australian Open 2023.
In the final match of the women's singles event, Aryana Sabalenka defeated Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. This is Sabalenka's first Grand Slam title.
Sabalenka was playing under a neutral flag due to Belarus' support of Russia in the Russo-Ukraine war.
At the same time, Rybakina won her first Grand Slam in 2022 as Wimbledon.
