BJP is Asking to Remove Dialogue from 'Mersal'
Due to the comments made on GST and digital transactions, the Tamil film 'Mersal' in the Vijay-starred movie has come into controversy.
T. Sundarrajan, chief of the BJP's Tamil Nadu unit, said, "There has been a wrong reference in 'Mersal' about GST (goods and services). ... eminent personalities should refrain from filing false information between the public."
The BJP is opposing the comment on GST in the Tamil film 'Mersal'. The BJP alleges that the film has been misinformed about GST and notes ban.
It has been told in the film that the government is taking GST, but people are not getting any facility instead of it.
In addition, the film has exposed the 'corrupt medical system' in India.
The scene of the film that the Bharatiya Janata Party wants to remove is becoming viral on the social media.
In this scene of the film actor Vijay says, "People in Singapore give GST 7% and in return the government is providing free medical care. Government of India is recovering 28 percent GST. But why can not the government provide free medical care? Why?
We are giving 12 percent tax for medicines. But there is no GST on alcohol. In India, there is no oxygen cylinder in government hospital. Want to know what was the reason behind not being an oxygen cylinder? For two years the hospital did not have the money to pay for the oxygen cylinder. Electricity goes on during dialysis in another government hospital. Four people died. Embarrassing, they did not have a power backup. The child kept in the ICU dies due to bite by the mouse. People are afraid of government hospitals. "
Joining the controversy raised by the issue, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday told Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he did not interfere in this matter and 'demonetization' Tamil pride.
Rahul tweeted, "Sir (Narendra) Modi cinema is a powerful expression of Tamil culture and language. Do not 'demonetization' Tamil pride by interfering in 'Mersal'.
Another senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram also ridiculed the government for the film. He tweeted, "Notice to filmmakers: The law is about to come, you can create a documentary that only appreciates the policies of the government." In another tweet, he said, "BJP is asking to remove dialogue from Mersal''. Imagine that today 'Parashakti' would have been released.
