Treason case registerd on Navjot Sidhu after embracing Pakistan Army Chief
A case has been registered in a court in Muzaffarpur in Bihar against cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu. This case has been filed for embracing the Pakistani army chief during the oath taking ceremony of Imran Khan as Prime Minister of Pakistan. Advocate Sudhir Ojha has filed a case against Sidhu in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Muzaffarpur.
Ojha said that he has filed a case against Sidhu in various sections of the Indian Penal Code including sedition. It has been reported in the news agency IANS that in his complaint, Ojha has said that Sidhu's behavior has hurt the people of the country. He said, "The court has registered the case and its hearing will be held next week."
The leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Akali Dal are constantly attacking the Congress government in Punjab after embracing Siddhu's Pakistani army chief.
