Day 14 of the 2026 Asian Games: China tops the medal tally

Saturday marks the 14th day of the Asian Games 2026, currently underway in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

India has won a total of 77 medals so far—including 17 golds—and holds the fifth position in the medal tally.

On Saturday, Indian archer Kumkum Mohod won the gold medal in the women's recurve category.

Earlier, on Friday, the Indian women's hockey team won the gold medal at the Asian Games after a gap of 44 years. India defeated China 1–0 in the final match, with Lalremsiami scoring the team's solitary goal.

India has also secured 25 silver and 35 bronze medals so far.

China leads the medal tally with a total of 316 medals, including 162 golds. Japan is in second place with 239 medals, while South Korea holds the third spot with 134 medals. Uzbekistan ranks fourth with a total of 65 medals, including 20 golds.

All eyes will now be on the Indian men's hockey team. The team will face Malaysia in the final for the gold medal; the match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM.

The Indian team has the opportunity to win the hockey gold medal for the second consecutive time at the Asian Games by winning this match.
