
VVS Laxman to be interim head coach of Team India in Asia Cup
VVS Laxman has been appointed as the interim head coach of the Indian cricket team for the Asia Cup 2022 in the absence of Rahul Dravid.
Actually head coach Rahul Dravid is infected with Covid-19 and he will join the Indian cricket team only after recovering. Dravid will join the team only after being Covid negative and getting permission from the BCCI medical team.
During this, VVS Laxman will oversee all the preparations related to the team's Asia Cup.
The Asia Cup is starting from August 27, 2022 in the United Arab Emirates.
VVS Laxman, who is heading the National Cricket Academy, Vice-Captain KL Rahul, Deepak Hooda and Avesh Khan will reach Dubai from Harare.
Laxman was the coach of the Indian team on the Zimbabwe tour while KL Rahul was the captain.
India begins its campaign in the Asia Cup 2022 with a match against Pakistan on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
