Jammu-Kashmir Assembly dissolves: Congress-NC-PDP raises questions

Governor Satyapal Malik announced the dissolution of the assembly in Jammu and Kashmir. After this, politics has become hot in Jammu and Kashmir. The former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, has called it a step taken by the governor in the hurry. Omar Abdullah said that we were asking to dissolve the assembly for the last five months, then why was it suddenly dissolved?

On dissolution of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Congress leader Saifuddin Soz said, "Mehbooba Ji should move court as what Governor has done on Centre's instructions is undemocratic & unconstitutional. Mehbooba Mufti wrote to Governor only after Congress & NC supported PDP & Guv should've given her a chance.''

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah said that his party was putting pressure on the dissolution of the assembly for the last five months. In such a situation, it can not be coincidental that when Mehbooba Mufti claimed to form the government, soon after, it was decided to dissolve the Assembly.

I said this afternoon also that it's a suggestion & no final decision has been taken yet (on PDP-NC-Congress alliance). BJP dissolved the assembly even though only a proposal was made: Ghulam Nabi Azad, Congress on #JammuAndKashmir Governor dissolves J&K Legislative Assembly.

Mehbooba Mufti claimed to make a government, the Governor dissolved the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly

PDP president Mehbooba Mufti claimed to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir. Shortly after this, Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satyapal Malik dissolved the assembly on Wednesday night. The Governor said that this action was taken under relevant provisions of Jammu and Kashmir's constitution.

Shortly before this, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti had claimed to form government in Jammu and Kashmir with the support of Congress and National Conference.

In a letter written to Governor Satyapal Malik today, Mufti said that PDP is the largest party in the state assembly, which has 29 members. She wrote, "You must have come to know in media reports that Congress and National Conference have also decided to support our party to form a government in the state. The number of members of the National Conference is 15 and the Congress has 12 MLAs. So our collective number is 56."

Mehbooba said in her letter, "Since this time I am in Srinagar. Therefore, I will not be able to meet you immediately and it is to inform you that we will soon meet in your favor to present a claim of formation of government in the state."

Earlier, in March 2015, PDP and BJP formed coalition government. Mufti Mohammed Saeed became the chief minister. After his demise, Mehbooba Mufti took charge of the post of Chief Minister. But in June 2018 the coalition broke into PDP and BJP. At present, there is a governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir. Six months of governor's rule are being completed on December 19.

There are 87 seats in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. The seats of political parties are as follows:
PDP-28
BJP-25
National Conference - 15
Congress-12
JKPC-2
Independence-3
CPM-1
JKPDF - 1

The court has asked the police to submit the report by September 18.

Major Litul Gogoi, detained by police after being seen in a hotel in Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir with a minor Kashmiri girl in May 2018, has been found guilty of having to befriend a local resident in the Court of Inquiry and staying away from his work place in a campaign area.

The news agency Bhasha told the sources of Indian Army that the order to initiate disciplinary action against Gogoi has been issued. Mehbooba said after the resignation, there should be talks with Pakistan for peace in the valley

Mehbooba Mufti spoke to the reporters after handing over the resignation of Governor NN Vohra to Jammu and Kashmir. She said that she had joined hands with BJP to remove the public from trouble. The government was formed to communicate with the public. Mehbooba said that there should be talks with Pakistan for peace in the valley.

After handing over the resignation as Chief Minister, Mehbooba said that she has told the governor that we will not have any other alliance. She said, we have always said that the security policy of the use of force in Jammu and Kashmir will not work, reconciliation is important. We will strive for dialogue and reconciliation in Kashmir and the coalition with the BJP was not for power.

Once again, there has been a political instability in Jammu and Kashmir. After withdrawing support from the coalition government of the BJP, Mehbooba Mufti sent her resignation to the governor for the post of Chief Minister. Along with that, Mehbooba has called a meeting of the PDP this evening.

On the other hand, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that what happened in the state was good. Congress will not make any government with PDP at any cost.

Jammu-Kashmir: Mehbooba Mufti resigns from CM post

Once again, there has been a political instability in Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP has withdrawn support from the coalition government. After this Mehbooba Mufti sent her resignation to the governor from the post of Chief Minister. Along with this, Mehbooba has convened a meeting of PDP.

On the other hand, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that what happened in the state was good. Congress will not make any government with PDP at any cost.

Earlier, The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced a withdrawal of support from the PDP-BJP coalition government of Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP has sent a letter of withdrawal of support to the Governor. On Tuesday, BJP spokesman Ram Madhav said that it was not possible for the coalition government to go ahead in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that such a consultation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah has been done.

Ram Madhav said that with the consent of all, it was decided to abolish this alliance. Ram Madhav said that there was an alliance with PDP for peace in Jammu and Kashmir. The Central Government has given a lot of help to the development in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that PDP had the leadership of the coalition. The PDP did something to hinder. Mehbooba has failed completely in carrying out the liability. The development of Jammu and Ladakh was ignored. In this way, the BJP ministers could not work properly. Ram Madhav said that Mahbuba government was unable to handle the state.

Ram Madhav, in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir BJP said that the BJP has demanded governor's rule here. He said that now the governor's rule is expected to improve the condition of the state. He said that despite the withdrawal of support from the government, the operation will continue against the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

It is significant that BJP President Amit Shah called all the BJP ministers and state president of Jammu and Kashmir in New Delhi. It was believed that Amit Shah could take a big decision on the PDP-BJP coalition.

In the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections of 2014, the People's Democratic Party got 28 seats, BJP 25 and National Conference 15 seats out of 87 seats. Whereas Congress got 12 and others got 9 seats.

Responding to BJP's support from the PDP government, Shiv Sena has expressed its reaction and said it is natural. Shiv Sena spokesman Sanjay Raut said that this coalition was anti-national and unnatural. Our party chief had said that this coalition will not move forward. If they keep this coalition going forward, they have to answer in the 2019 elections.
