New drug approved for treatment of Covid-19

Indian Drug Controller Association CDSCO has approved the drug ilizomev used for the skin disease psoriasis for the treatment of Covid-19.
According to the news agency PTI, while granting this permission, it has been said that it can be used only in emergency situations and written approval letter of each patient must be obtained before its use.
An official associated with the organization has said, "The clinical trial of this drug has been done on Covid-19 patients in India." A committee of many other experts, including AIIMS pulmonologists, pharmacologists, medicine experts, found this drug suitable for the treatment of cytokine release syndrome in Covid-19 patients experiencing breathing difficulties. After this the drug was allowed.''
